Lovely Barba-Aquino, or Abi to most of her friends and relatives was a dreamy kid who grew up in a small family. She had always been disinclined to sports and spent most of her time reading books and imagining things. She took up film in college, wanting to explore the drama of filmmaking but always had the passion for writing. She started doing short film scripts, essays, fanzines and blogs but didn’t consider making a living by scribbling even until she joined Ricky Lee’s 14th batch of scriptwriters.
Following a series of career frustrations, she knew it was foolish not to try writing professionally. She then found a niche as a copywriter, both for web content and advertising.
After some years of corporate jobs, Abi would just like to write at her home’s convenience. She finds it more conducive and feels more productive doing so. In fact, she considers it a lifetime career, something she can still do while taking care of her Lawrence and little Liam.
When she’s not busy with her computer (and her little one), you’ll find her cooking, reading, listening to music or relaxing with her craft. She’s a Potter fan, a sketching dabbler, an awful singer, a graceful dancer, a budding cook, an able homemaker, but best described as a writer, a wife and a mom for the time being.
