LINDSAY’S NEW BEST GIRL
Teen sensation Lindsay Lohan is sealing the war between her and rival Hilary Duff. Lindsay and Hilary are both talented young singer-actresses but it wasn’t talent that pitted them against each other. It was the love of Aaron Carter.
Five years back, the two young ladies squabbled over the affection of Aaron Carter, younger brother of Nick carter of the Backstreet Boys’ fame. Lindsay was apparently Aaron’s girlfriend that time when the mini-Backstreet Boy began going out with Hilary. He then dumped her and attended Lindsay’s Freaky Friday premiere with Hilary no less. Lindsay retaliated by appearing in the premiere showing of Hilary’s Cheaper by the Dozen. The feud continued when Hilary’s part for Confessions of a Teenage Drama queen went to Lindsay.
Hilary was quoted saying that the star of Mean Girls left mean messages on her answering machine and that it was Lindsay who kept the war burning. She’s supposedly disturbed when Lindsay said it was all her imagination working overtime.
Lindsay reportedly made attempts to settle the issue earlier but Hilary’s sister slammed the phone down when she called. She was not even able to say sorry. The brilliant actress admitted that their war was petty and that she does not want enemies, especially with a boy as the issue.
Even their fans went out of their way to defend them in forums and blogs and for five long years, the feud went on but the reason was almost forgotten.
Aaron Carter must be proud of his former girls as Lindsay and Hilary finally decided to bury the hatchets and were even seen hanging out together. Now, Hilary describes the fireworks as silly and says that Lindsay is a nice girl and really fun.
What does Lindsay have to say about this? She used to laugh the issue off but now admits Hilary can be fun to be with too. She stressed that they were quite young when the feud started and now that it’s over now that they are adults.
The new best friends were spotted in a night club in Hollywood. The Chicago Tribune attested that Hilary and Lindsay were dancing, chatting and even kissed each other’s hands. More proof of this friendship happened at the release party of Hilary’s latest album where Lindsay showed up.
The former rivals seem to like hanging out with each other. Many kibitzers predict that the teen queens would be seen together more often.
